Sammie Lanette White, age 80, of Azle, TX , passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Sammie was born July 14, 1943 in Lubbock County, Texas to Samuel Wilson Easter and Flaudie Lanette Lumley Easter.   She graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in Dallas, TX in 1961.   Sammie obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Women's University in 1980 and her Master's Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton in 1986.  She taught Special Education in Azle ISD for 16 years until her retirement in 2001, finishing her career at Azle Elementary "The Rock School".  She was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church

Sammie was a devoted wife to George E. White for 56 years until his passing in 2016.

Sammie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Flaudie Easter and her beloved husband George E. White.

She is survived by her son, Sam White and wife, Kim; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 2 special cousins, James Goodman of Tyler, TX and Russell Goodman of Harrisburg, PA.
