Samuel Dee Lewis, 96, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at his home. He was born on Friday, July 03, 1925 at Era, Texas. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Era Cemetery in Era with David Kelley, retired minister of California Lane Church of Christ, officiating. Sam married Evelyn Baker on July 24, 1954. They were married until Evelyn's death in 2010. Sam worked at General Dynamics as Facility Engineer for over 37 years. Sam was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Survivors: his children, Wyatt Lewis, Deeva Lewis and Lowell Lewis of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Larrah and her husband, Jason Jackson, of Frisco and Logan Lewis of Keller; sister, Tivy Turk; nephews, Hunter Turk and his wife, Martha, and Gatlan Turk and his wife, Denise; nephews, niece and great nephews and nieces.
