Scenith Caroline "Meme" Rhymes, 68, passed from this life on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025, at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth, Texas.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Bethel Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
Born November 11, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Grace Aylene Sweringieon and Charlie Vance Rowney, Scenith lived life with vibrancy and a deep appreciation for the things she loved. She was married to Jackie Franklin Rhymes, and together they built a life filled with family and fond experiences.
Scenith was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored sport cars—especially Camaros—loud music, butterfly jewelry, and dreamcatchers. She loved the word "love" itself, embodying its meaning in the way she cared for those around her. Walmart was a frequent destination for her, visiting four to five times a week, always eager for an outing. She had a fondness for Betty Boop and never turned down the chance to take a long ride—always ready for the next adventure.
Family was the heart of Scenith's world. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jackie Rhymes, her brother Charles Holley Rowney, and her best friend Cathy Burt.
She is survived by her beloved children: Jackie Franklin Rhymes Jr. and wife, Angel Marroquin; Molly Kay Rhymes-Simpson and husband, Joe; Melissa Sue Rhymes Tedder and husband, Kevin; Billy Jack Rhymes; and Cameron Reddin and wife, Hailey. She also leaves behind her stepchildren: Bobby Rhymes and wife, Tammy; Jeffery Rhymes and wife, Connie; Jackie Roberts; and Vickie Rhymes; grandchildren, Kevin Forrister, Charlie Rhymes and wife, Caroline, Valerie Escamilla and husband, Juan, Brittany Rhymes and husband, Austin, Brianna Rhymes and husband, Bradley, Katelizabeth Reddin and husband, Ray Mata, Christine Loggan and husband, Kaiden, Jacob Rhymes and wife, Jenni, Jason Rhymes, Casey Reddin and wife, Dessire, Jessica Rhymes, Dominic Vargas, Justice Vargas, Josh Rhymes and wife, Meranda, Tiffany Rhymes, Autumn Barron, Brandie Garcia and husband, Seth; great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Yuliana, Maria, Natalia, Braxton, Phoebe, Jasper, Anthony, Lilly, Colton, Gracie, Jaxson, Tayler, Kaiden, Eliajah, Izaiah, Josh, Faith and many more; nephews and nieces, including Barbara, Crystal, Jodi, Fanci, and Andy, along with a large extended family.
Her grandson, Michael Jennings, lived with her and was by her side since he was 16 years old, offering her unwavering love and support. Her caregivers, Paul Monroe and Will Haggard, also played meaningful roles in her life, ensuring she was cared for and able to enjoy the things that brought her happiness.
The pallbearers include Michael Jennings, Ray Mata, Josh Rhymes, Bradley Cartwright, Kaiden Long, and Austin Mills.
Scenith's life was filled with love, adventure, and treasured memories. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
