Sheree Lynn (Homer)
Coleman
Dec 6, 1958 — Nov 4, 2025
After a long and determined battle, Sheree Lynn Coleman, age 66, decided to follow her beloved son, Chandler to heaven. She passed on Tuesday, November 4, reluctantly leaving behind her husband Jeff, her son, Caleb, her brother, Rick and her mother, Margaret.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, Fullness in Christ Church, 8895 Random Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76179.
Born December 6, 1958, in McAlester, Oklahoma, her family relocated to the Houston area at a young age. Both of her parents were public school teachers, and that teaching gene was passed on to her. She didn't teach school, but she taught countless number of special needs parents how to fight for the services they needed for their children. She taught all who knew her the meaning of compassion, caring and selflessness. Her life was a master class in unconditional love.
She raised two incredible young men, Chandler Bryce and Caleb Adiran Coleman. They were the central occupation of her life, and no doubt they remain so even after death. Even now, Sheree is watching over her children on earth and in heaven.
When Sheree set her mind to do something, there was no stopping her. In the early 1990s, while raising children ages 6 and 8, she returned to college, where she graduated with honors from TCU. She fought for the mainstreaming of special needs children in the Arlington school district and helped changed district policies.
Sheree loved to cook, work in the garden, walk on the beach and take long road trips. She did all these things while battling Crohn's disease, cancer, osteoporosis and heart disease. Never did she let these challenges stop her from taking care of her family.
Sheree exhibited strength through heartbreak, passion through pain. She was a rare individual who could always find a way to fly without wings.
