Sherry Moreland Hansen passed away unexpectedly at her home in Saginaw, Texas Friday, April 24, 2026, at 51 years old.

Service: 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 7200 Robertson Road, Fort Worth, Texas.

Celebration of Life begins at 5:00-5:30 at Magnolia Motor Lounge, 3803 Southwest Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas.

Sherry was born April 10, 1975, at Langley AFB Hospital in Hampton, Virginia to Huey and Karen Shannon Moreland. From Virginia, the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, then Niceville, Florida, back to Hampton, Virginia, and finally to Fort Worth, Texas, where Sherry attended Wayside Middle School and Boswell High School. While in attendance she made many friends that lasted throughout her lifetime. After graduating in 1993, she attended Tarrant County College, earning two associate degrees.

It was at Boswell that Sherry met her high school sweetheart, Brent Stuart Hansen. After five years together, they were wed on October 17, 1997. The couple was married twenty-eight years, but together for thirty-four years prior to her passing and shared many milestones together both before, and after, being blessed with two daughters.

As a young adult, Sherry entered the workforce in retail, law office, and optometrist's office positions before stepping into her full-time role as a wife and mother. During this period, Sherry acted as PTA president, room mom, and a substitute teacher in her free time. She enjoyed hiking, hosting gatherings, attending workout classes, taking care of her many plants, and was always trying new recipes in the kitchen. She shared a love for live music with her family and friends, always making a vacation out of going to see their favorite artists. Sherry's love for animals began as a child and carried on throughout her adult life, with her various pets over the years.

Sherry is survived by her beloved husband, Brent Stuart Hansen; their daughters, Brooke and Bailey; her parents, Hugh and Karen Moreland; her brother, Mike Moreland, and his wife, Erin, along with their four children; as well as countless other family members and friends.

Sherry is remembered fondly by many for her fun-loving spirit and strong-willed nature.
