Shirley J. Graves, 74, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: 3 p.m. in Powell Cemetery, Powell, Okla. Pallbearers: Wayne Buchanan, Shane Buchanan, Ernest Sanchez, Glen Roberts, Joel Roberts and Phillip Wadlow. Honorary pallbearers: her brother-in-law, CA Roberts, and the employees of Texas Health-Harris Methodist-Azle. Shirley was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Powell, Okla., to Carl and Nettie Buchanan. She had been an Azle resident for over 42 years and had worked at Texas Health-Harris Methodist Northwest since 1992. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen Buchanan and Carl Buchanan Jr.; and sister, Della Hanson. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Campbell Vinson of Enville, Okla., and Tina Byrd of Azle; brothers, Elmer Buchanan and Glendon Buchanan and wife, Donna, all of Azle, and Bobby Buchanan and wife, Sarita, of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Jannett Roberts and husband, CA, of Azle, and Vickie Buchanan and companion, Ernest Sanchez of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews.
