Stella Wynell Shockley, 86, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred Jay Shockley; a son, Ronny Wayne Shockley; her parents, George Alfred and Margaret Vela Nolen Bizzell; a brother, Dempsey Calvin Bizzell; and sisters, Mildred Pauline Eason, Mary Ethyl Ludwick and Jackie Earlene Brown. She is survived by her children, Glenda Kay Horner and husband, Gale, John Allen Shockley and wife, Kimberly, and Leisa Jean Levitt; grandchildren, Daniel Horner and wife, Rhonda, Michael Horner and wife, Terrie, Christopher Carpenter and wife, Priscilla, Taryn Barnato and husband, Peter, and Zachary Shockley; great-grandchildren, Savanah and Catilina Roy, Lane Horner, and Christina, Anya and Juliette Carpenter; sister, Lois Davis.
