Stephen Lee Apala, age 48, passed from this life on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the Service.

Stephen was born April 17, 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas.   He married the love of his life, Misty Dawn Kershaw and they had five children – Dylan, Angela, Nathan, Madison and Madiline.

He was a Firefighter and a Paramedic.  Stephen had a big heart, was kind, very respectful, loving and a gentle giant.  He could and would fix anything for everybody.  There was nothing more important to him in his life than his family and his friends.  Such a humble guy and his nickname for some people was "Spirit Horse" and he was "Weevie" to his family.

Stephen is survived by, his wife, Misty; his children, Dylan Apala, Angela Apala, Nathan Apala, Madison O'Hern and Madiline O'Hern; parents, Sharon Breedlove and husband, Jimmy and Gary Apala and wife, Sharon; his siblings, Christopher Apala, Katie Audas and husband, Derik; niece and nephews, Skylar, Devin and Lincoln; father-in-law, Ray Throgmorton; aunts, Marilyn Edward and husband, Sherman, Deborah Mowry, Vicki Daffern and husband, Dean, Renee Applegate and husband, Mike; Great Aunts, Joyce Reynolds, Elnora "Nornie" Scalf, and Jerry Hamm; and several cousins.
