Obituary

Sue C. Fern left this world on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at her sister's home in Azle, Texas. Tho battling cancer, she lost her life to a secondary infection she could not overcome.

Sue was born, Sue Carol Hudson, on August 16, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in Azle, Texas and Graduated from Azle High School in 1975. She was an employee at Paris Coffee Shop, in Ft. Worth, for many years and was the light in many patrons' day. Prior to Paris Coffee Shop she served many years at Williams Ranch House in Samson Park, Texas. Her home church is Lakeside Baptist Church in Lakeside where the Celebration of Life will be held. She was a caring, joyful person who leaves behind a family that loves her very much and many, many friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan L Pickens and Patrick D Fern (both of Ft. Worth). She is also survived by Patrick's family : the light of Sue's life Ashtyn Fern, Kay, Carson, Dylan and son Kyler, Taylor and Husband Chase and their children Carter and Hudson, Sue's brother, Edward James (Jim) Hudson (of Roundrock), her sister, Kay Hudson Barnes (of Azle). Other family members: nephews Kenneth Clayton Barnes, Jesse Ryan Barnes, Jesse's wife Rori Barnes, great-niece Natalie Barnes, great-nephew Nathan Barnes, niece Laura Novak and husband Derek Novak , niece Amy Hudson, great nieces: Delaney Novak, Janessa Novak, Haley Buccello, Patricia (PJ) Brown,

Preceding Sue in death: her mother, Barbara Kemp and Grandmother, Katherine McDowell. Due to her personality and giving spirit, she will be remembered fondly for years to come.
