Thelma Mae Godbey, 93, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday August 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Dido Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home. Thelma was born September 5, 1921 in Haslet to Willie and Lima Eastwood. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Trinity Baptist Temple. She was married to Henry Glen Godbey on May 26, 1940 and together they shared 66 years of marriage before his death on April 2, 2006. Thelma loved to cook and clean and serve others and spent her life helping her family and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Godbey. Thelma is survived by her children, Glenna Waggoner, Woody Godbey and wife Regina, Gabe Godbey and wife Sandy, and Pam Warren and husband Gerald; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
