Theodore "Ted" Arthur Hamman, age 90, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his wife, Anne (Bachelder) Hamman by his side.

Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2024 at Lighthouse Fellowship, 7200 Robertson Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.

Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum, Fort Worth, Texas.

Ted was born July 24, 1934 in Culver City, California to Arthur and Inez Hamman.

Who could ever believe Ted's story began a few years later? At the age of 5 years old, he first met his next-door neighbor, Loretta Mae Burns. Ted and Loretta later became high school sweethearts and in 1953, married. Their marriage produced 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Robert Hamman and wife, Susan, James Hamman and wife, Jana, Dorothy "Dee" and husband, Bret Vickers; grandchildren, Kristen and wife, Dena Jones, Teddy Hamman and wife, Sydney, Janae and husband, Kevin Chapman, Jared Hamman, Kevin Vickers, and wife, Jade, and Daniel Vickers; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Eason and Landon Chapman, Owen and Summer Hamman, Laken Vickers.

Ted never met a stranger. When he began working with Arrowhead Water, he made friends with everyone on his route. They often left food and gifts on their front porch, knowing he would be there. The majority of his career was spent with Oroweat Baking Company. Over the years, Oroweat took Ted and Loretta from Oregon to California, Texas, Connecticut, and finally to Denver. In 1981, he retired from the bread business, moved to Buckeye Potato Chips, with Borden Foods in Columbus, Ohio and eventually moved back to Texas with Wise Potato Chips. July 7, 2001, after 48 years of marriage, Ted's wife, Loretta, lost her battle with cancer. Within a few days of the funeral, Ted and his grandson Kevin were off to meet family in Glacier National Park. Despite loss and pain, Ted found joy and happiness by being surrounded with those he loved.

April 21, 2002 Ted was baptized on the hilltop of Lighthouse Fellowship. Teds faith in God was an important part his life and who he was. His daily walk was unwavering from his morning devotion, praying for his family by name to showing his love of Christ through actions and words.

In 2006, Ted expanded his family when he married Anne (Bachelder) Hamman, gaining 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Andrew Bachelder and wife, Debi, Rachael Bachelder-Smith and husband, Billy, Nicholas Bachelder and wife, Molly; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jacob, Rowan and Jackson Bachelder, Hollan Smith.

While Ted sought many small ventures, he never really retired or quit enjoying life! He spent time traveling, camping and volunteering his time. He volunteered with Church, Mission trips, Tarrant Area Food Bank and Medical City of Fort Worth. Well into his 80's, Ted transitioned from volunteer to full time at Medical City where he would go on to be awarded, Worker of The Year! Ted was loved by many and had lifelong friends across the U.S. He will be greatly missed, but the memories he made, the fun times he created, and the stories he told will never be forgotten. It was indeed a great life full of purpose, before being called home.
