Thomas Earl Stephens, 73, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. A Celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Castleberry Baptist Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Castleberry Baptist Church Mission Fund. Born in Corsicana, he was the second of seven children to Alton Ernest and Anita Dot Stephens. Tom served three years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired after 28 years, serving as a peace officer at DFW Airport. Tom attended Lake Worth High School and was a member of Castleberry Baptist Church. Above all, Tom was a family man who loved God, his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley; his daughters, Kim and Anita; grandchildren, Keira and Nic; brothers, Bill Stephens, Jerry Stephens, Charlie Stephens and Joe Stephens; sisters, Annette Spencer and Jeanette Wycoff; 10 nieces; 13 nephews; and a host of friends and family.
