Timothy Scott Gray Jr., age 81, a loving dad, papa, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, October 23, 2021, with his family by his side. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home. Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Biggers Funeral Home Chapel. Tim was born July 22, 1940, in Roswell, New Mexico and was the sixth of eight children. He grew up in Roswell and after high school, moved to Fort Worth, TX. In the summer of 1969, Tim and his good buddy Joe Elmore decided to leave Texas and move to Florida, a move that would forever change his life. While working as a bartender at Wolfie's in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Tim met the loves of his life, Joan and her 4-month-old daughter, Kimberly. On November 8, 1969, they were married and then moved back to Texas. Unfortunately, after less than 2 years of marriage, in April of 1971, both Joan and their expecting child passed away. Tim never remarried and raised Kimberly on his own. He often told people that meeting Joan was the best thing that ever happened to him. Tim remained in Texas and retired from the City of Fort Worth after 19 years. He was a Loyal Order of Moose member since 1981, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Santa Claus at Ridgmar Mall and was a familiar face at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, providing smiles and happiness (serving beer) at the same stand for over 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed baking from scratch, playing board games with family, trying out new places to eat, offering to be everyone's personal Uber driver and tracking his grandkids' adventures on the "Find my Friends" app. Tim also loved playing bingo and was always excited to share his winnings (big or small) with everyone. Whether it was taking them out for dinner or secretly slipping folded cash in their pockets, he was always eager to share his wealth! He was preceded in death by his parents, Tim Gray Sr. and Grace French Gray; wife, Joan Gray; infant daughter, Theresa Michelle Gray; siblings, Clifford Gray, Louise Farmer, Betty Casper, Jackie Bills, Richard Gray and Lynn Neumann. Tim's memory will forever be treasured by his loving daughter, Kimberly Westbrooks; son-in-law, Randy Westbrooks; three grandchildren, Lindsay Westbrooks, Kaley Westbrooks and Logan Westbrooks; sister, Jean Nettles and numerous nieces and nephews that he adored dearly. He was loved deeply, will be missed greatly, and will remain always in our hearts.
