Obituary

Timothy Brian Raif, Elocutionist, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Celebration of Life: 7:00 pm, Friday, August 27, 2021 at Bethesda Community Church In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Light of Light International, 4364 Western Center Blvd., #124, Fort Worth 76137; or to Fort Worth Teen Challenge, 747 Samuels Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76102; or to the charity of your choice. Timothy was born June 7, 1961 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, Germany. He attended Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth, TX where he was a member of the Choraliers and subsequently attended Texas Wesleyan University, achieving a degree in Theatre Arts. Since July 1994, Timothy's home church has been Bethesda Community Church. It was his honor and delight to praise and worship the Lord as a longstanding member of the Bethesda Church Choir. True to his studies in college, Timothy's best-loved pastime was the theatre. One of the notable gifts that Timothy possessed was his voice and the ability to make a character come alive. With a mastery of accents and voices, he could characterize anything from a fiery wizard to a gentle lion, to the villainous of villains. Introverted and usually soft spoken, Timothy surprised those who were fortunate to see him on stage at Texas Wesleyan University, Cornerstone Theatre, Artisan Center Theater and Bethesda Community Church. Among his greatest contributions in theatre was his sincere interest in every person involved, from front to backstage. His performances were characterized by generous listening and thorough preparation. Not only was Timothy a genius actor onstage he was also an encouragement to everyone. He was always reliable, always prepared and always amazing! A beloved husband and a true friend, Timothy was blessed with a delightful sense of humor and great wisdom. And in return, we were blessed. Timothy was preceded in death by his Mother, Dianna Rhea Blanton Raif; maternal grandparents, Blanche and R.E. Blanton; paternal grandparents, Ada and Victor Raif; Uncle, Thomas Raif and unborn child, Nathan Isaac Raif. Timothy is survived by his beloved, Suzanne; Father, Ronald Raif; Aunt, Linda Gray; Aunt, Carolyn Daniell and a host of family and friends. Suzanne and the family are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Service Bethesda Community Church 4700 N.
