Tony Ruffin Overdirth Jr., 73, marched up to the pearly gates to meet his maker on October 21, 2025, as a result of complications from a stem cell transplant undertaken in his nearly yearlong battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer.

Tony was proud to have been born and raised in Waxahachie, Texas, completed two degrees in Electrical Engineering, and spent nearly 40 years working for Coc-Cola where he shared his trademark sense of humor and love of educating others.

Years after being widowed by his 2nd wife of 23 years, Cindy, and resigning himself to living out his years as a lone wolf, his love of motorcycle riding took him on an unexpected detour to find a later in life love when he met Vicki through their shared love of motorcycles. They've spent the past 14 years as partners in crime riding motorcycles, traveling, RVing, entertaining at their home, and chasing live music and country western dance opportunities with his newly found friends between weekly church services.

He enthusiastically built a life on the ranchette with her while his bonus kids and bonus grandkids gave Papa Tony never ending excuses to tell jokes, act like a kid, and have all sorts of adventures. He returned from one such adventure with his furry little companion, Hot Shot, the apple of his father's eye for the past 2 years. He shared his enthusiasm for life with all he met in his retirement years giving of his time to his church and community, serving as a CASA advocate for children in the foster care system, and as a rangemaster at his favorite gun range.

Tony gave freely of his laughter, knowledge, and time leaving a large hole in many lives and hearts. We'll miss him dearly and strive to keep him on his toes while he watches over us. As he'd say "Life ain't fair and the sooner you accept that and learn to deal with it the better off you will be in this life." So tell your worst Dad joke for Tony and make someone laugh in his memory.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, 2 siblings, a son and grandchildren, as well as his numerous bonus kids and grandkids.
