Obituary

Tony Eugene York was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas on June 27, 1948 to Luther and Betty York.  He was the 2nd child of 5 children.  He departed to his heavenly father on October 21, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the "Wounded Warrior Project" or donations to "The Mexico Mission" that Pam and Tony supported.  Those donations can be given to Pam and she herself will see that they get them.  The Church is called "Iglesia Bautista Fundamental Independiente Church" in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Tony wore many hats.  He was a husband, father, father- in -law, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, brother- in law, uncle, and friend.

He was married to Pamela York in September of 1995. Marrying Pam, he inherited a new family whom he grew to love dearly.  He graduated from Castleberry High School.

Tony was drafted by the United States Army in 1969 and served two years as a Sargent in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star.  He loved his country dearly and was proud to be an American.

He started his working career in the Concrete Industry and later went to work for the United States Postal Service from which he retired after 23 years.  He was currently working part time at Perrone Pharmacy.

Tony enjoyed softball, golf, fishing, cruising with Pam and hanging with his kids, grandkids, and friends.  What Tony is known for as you all know was his ability to tell a joke. But what made the joke funny was that he would laugh at his own jokes before he even finished them.  He made a lasting impression on his family and everyone that he came in contact with.
