Velma R. Ray, 87, a longtime resident of Fort Worth, passed away Wednesday. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 in Greenwood Memorial Park. Immediately following the service everyone is invited to Angelo's Barbecue as a guest for food and fellowship. Velma was born in Paradise, Texas in 1931. She was one of three children born to the late, Myrtle (Sanders) and Homer McBride. She married Gene H. Ray and they celebrated 51 years of marriage before his death December 11, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Mondy and significant, Bill Roach; son, Mike Ray and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren, Robert Ray and wife, Shelly, Kent Ray and wife, Kate, Jill Winfrey and husband, Michael, Jeana Roisch and husband, Tony; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Griffin, Millie June, Bo Ryan, Nikki, Will, and London; and several nieces and nephews.
