Vernon Everette Graydon, 76, a retired U.S. Air Force techincal sergeant, passed away, Saturday, November 17, 2012, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: with military honors at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Vernon E. Graydon was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of honorable service. After retirement in 1974, the family moved to Abilene where he began a second career with the U.S. Postal Service. In 2008 he and his wife relocated to Fort Worth. He is survived by: His wife, Geneva Jane Graydon; son, Dana Graydon and wife, Amy; Danas daughter, Kimberly and her mother, Ernestina Wier; daughter, Dawn Riggs and husband, Guy; and son, Stephen Graydon.
