Vernon Lee Simpson, 98, a longtime Haltom City resident, was escorted to Heaven Thursday, October 11, 2018. Service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Visitation: Thursday, 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial: Azleland Memorial Park. Vernon was born December 26, 1919 in Devol, Okla. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, a retired Church of Christ minister, and the retired owner of Arrow Sharpening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Simpson; son, Joe Simpson, his parents and sister. Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Riggle and her husband Bill of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Charla Simpson of Oregon; brother, Don Simpson and his wife, Jeanne of Texas; along with extended family including multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
