Victoria Surdey, age 97, passed from this life on Friday, January 20, 2023. Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal: 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., prior to the Service Victoria was born in Philadelphia, January 27, 1925. She was a military wife and lived in various states until her husband retired in Fort Worth, Texas. Victoria entered the United States Cadet Nurse Corps February 1, 1945. After graduation, she held various jobs including an Operating Room Nurse Supervisor and Director of Nurses. She loved nursing so much, she continued to work until retiring at the age of 85. Some of her greatest joys in life were cooking, entertaining, and spending time at the beach. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander P. Surdey. She is survived by her children, Alex P. Surdey, Theresa McWherter (David), and Camille Oleson (Mark).
