Wayne Preston Jones, 89, went home to his "most gracious heavenly Father" and his beloved Maggie on a sunny Friday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2013. He was also reunited with his sisters, Zeta, Virginia and Doris. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home. Many involvements characterized Dads rich life, including serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, a career with Bell Helicopter, serving God through his church, and enjoying his many fraternal friends in the Order of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge. Left to carry on his legacy are his sons, David and wife, Andrea, and Mark and his wife, Marlena; his granddaughters, Meredith and Carli; great-granddaughter, Abigail; and his surviving sister, Barbra, of College Station.
