William Charles "Mac" McCowen, a retired Fort Worth police officer, went to be with The Lord Friday afternoon, December 28, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. A memorial register will be available at Biggers Funeral Home for those unable to attend the service. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Rick Maitland, Joe Garcia and Ken Adams; grandsons, Trevor Maitland, Nicholas Valero and Michael Southall. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Stephen Southall and Hunter Garcia. He is survived by and will always be loved by his wife of 35 and a half years, Carolyn McCowen of Azle; daughters, Kimberly Adams and husband, Ken, of Fort Worth, Georgette Southall of Burleson, Kamie Garcia and husband, Joe, of Azle, Carol Maitland and husband, Rick, of Fort Worth; sister, Jean Andrew and husband, Warwick, of Austin; and 11 grandchildren.
