On January 19,1954, Fred married his high school sweetheart LaNell (Elsie) Taggart in Beaumont, Texas. Their love story grew to include five children, Claudette Brown and Mickey, Freda Williams, Aaron Taggart and Cathy, Jennifer Havens and Aaron, Robin Houghton and Chris. This grew to include sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

Fred had a 38-year career being a quality control manager with Triangle Machine and Manufacturing. His career included inspecting parts for the National Space Transportation System. One of his many accomplishments he enjoyed sharing was being a NASA Manned Flight Awareness Honoree hosted by Marietta Michoud Aerospace. On December 10,1986, he was presented with an award for his dedication and commitment to excellence.

Fred and Elsie came into the Church of God in 1966. They both were ordained a deacon and deaconess. They faithfully lived their lives striving to live according to God's word. Their dedication to God was reflected in their family, friendships, work, service and life.

Fred and Elsie have left a legacy their children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren will carry with them as we move forward in their absence, but forever in our memories.
