Yvonne Zimmerman Drace, 85, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Following the service, Lake Worth Chapter #1109 Order of Eastern Star will honor her with the burial ritual. Interment: Hoovers Valley Cemetery in Kingsland. Yvonne was born in Kansas City, Kans. May 6, 1933. She married James R. Drace on October 24, 1959 in Weatherford, and moved to Lake Worth, where, in September of 1968 they gave birth to James G. Drace "Gib" and continued to live in the same house for the last 50 years. Yvonne successfully ran two Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios in Weatherford, and Azle for 20 plus years, continuing her education in massage therapy, acrylic nails and perfecting her touch on applying make up. She had enjoyed raising her poodles, and going to dog shows early on, before starting the businesses. She loved fashion, travel, jewelry and dancing. She especially loved the trips with her sisters. Over all, she just loved to laugh and have a good time. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Gilbert Francis and Thelma Edith (Alderson) Zimmerman, and her husband James R Drace. Survivors: include her son, James G. Drace "Gib"; step-daughter, Vickie Ferguson; Vickies sons, Kevin and Kurt Ferguson; sisters, Gene Braken, Kay Allen , Penny Lacy; many nieces and nephews.
