It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Pollard Carter, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched, on January 6, 2020.

She went home peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, graduated from Tech High School in 1959, she lived briefly in Boyd, Texas where she ended the lives of many spiders and had a gardening hoe within arm’s length at all times to fend off the snakes. She spent the greater part of her life in North Fort Worth, Texas and retired from Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics).

She married her loving husband Edgar Carter in 1966, who preceded her in death in 2006.

She was the beloved mother of Connie & husband Steven Slothouber and Brenda & husband Gary Gorman, loving sister to her brother Bill Pollard, proud grandmother of Kris & wife Gabrielle, Kory, Eliana, Aicha, Abigail, and Ava, and loving great grandmother to Isabelle .

She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, granddaughter Zia, Parents William Dee & Naomi Pollard, Sister Melba, and Brothers Fred, & C.D. (Buddy).

Margaret lived a full life, she was a licensed cosmetologist and used her keen scissor skills to keep the men in the family in free haircuts.

She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and traveling with her brother, Bill.

Most of all she loved her entire family and friends and her extended church family. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
