Michael Anthony Loney passed away January 16, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Arborlawn United Methodist Church.

Visitation: 12:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Arborlawn United Methodist Church.

Mike was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on November 15, 1947 to loving parents, Michael and Mary Loney from upstate New York.  He had a Catholic upbringing, along with his three sisters, Mary, Patty and Kathleen.

He joined the Air Force in March, 1966, after graduating from Brian McMann High School.

He left his family and his yellow GTO behind and moved to Fort Worth, TX and was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base.  He met and married the love of his life, Carol Beverlin Brown.  They almost made it to 52 years of marriage.

Education, family, golf, and setting goals became his mission in life.  While going to night school at TCU, our first child, Chris was born.  Many moves later, our daughter, Stephenie, was born. Mike graduated from New Mexico State University in 1974 with an Engineering degree, just as our third child, Kevin was born into our family.

Mike left the military for a while, rejoined again to take advantage of the AFIT program and later, stayed in the Air Force Reserve.  He was always proud to say he served in the military.  He began his new career with Alcon Laboratory in 1981 in Fort Worth, TX.

While working for Alcon, he finished another degree from TCU.

Mike spent 20 years with the Air Force and retired in 2007, with the military rank of Major.  He worked 21 years with Alcon, with the last eight years in Puerto Rico as the General Manager.
He worked an additional three years with Cardinal Health as Vice President of Manufacturing in Puerto Rico before finally retiring.  He spent his retirement improving his golf game and his ballroom dancing.  He wrote a book, traveled and visited family.

During the course of many years of traveling all over the world and constant moving; our family also grew by three beautiful granddaughters.

Mike gave to others, laughed, played and smiled throughout his life.
