Ona Oleta “Doll” Cannon Robinson, 94, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012.

Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Lake Worth Baptist Church. Committal: 3 p.m. at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made in her name to Worth Ranch, Brazos Club, P.O. Box 101658, Fort Worth, Texas 76185.

Doll was born June 18, 1917, in Gooseneck to her father, Daniel A. Cannon and mother, Alma P. Turner Cannon. She was an excellent basketball player in high school and met her future husband, Jeff Robinson, in high school. Uniquely she and her future husband were both each from a set of twins. At the beginning of World War II she and her husband moved to Fort Worth where Jeff worked in the Armour plant supporting the war effort. They built a house after the war in Lake Worth. She was very active in Lake Worth Baptist Church and involved in neighborhood issues to improve Lake Worth. Later Jeff became the ranger at Worth Ranch Scout Camp in Palo Pinto. While at Worth Ranch, Doll took charge of the dining hall for many years. The Scouts at Summer camp remember her today for her home-style food and her kindness, and she taught numerous Scouts how to cook.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fishing with her grandkids and was an excellent cook. Doll will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

“Let the angels sing thee home.”

Survivors include her sister, Crystal Mack; son, William Robinson; daughters, Melinda Alexander and Rebecca Smith; granddaughters, Wendy Napier, Dacey Malone, Autumn Hill and Rachel Robinson; grandsons, Jamey Alexander, Mike Biggers, Sean Robinson, Cale Isham and Christopher Robinson; great-granddaughters, Courtney Shipp, Mason Malone, Peyton Malone and Seana Hill; great-grandsons, Billy O’Dell, Christopher Robinson, Camden Isham and Dylan Napier.
