Wally was a man who was almost immortal; everyone was convinced that he would live forever.
He was a member of the Fort Worth Jaycees for a number of years, and talked about that period as some of the best times of his life. He owned and operated Just Us Restaurant Supply since 1984. He always said that, “he used to own a company, but it now owns me.”
He will be sorely missed by those that knew and loved him. For those of us who knew Wally, we realize the great tragedy of his loss from this world. There will never be anyone like him.
He was best friends with Jim Riscky since he was 13 years old. He began his career at Riscky’s store, bagging groceries for customers.
Wally was a very generous person and gave to numerous charities. If there was a need, he always had an open heart and wallet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis and Modena Love (Hawkins) Culps; brother, Tommy Culps, and a niece, Melanie.
Survivors: His sons, Glen and Justus and his wife, Alicia; daughters, Patricia and husband, Lawrence and Diana and husband, Sean; grandchildren, Ashley, Tobi, Devon, Logan, Ashlynn, Clayton, Jason, Harlie, Carlos, Kadarius, and Kenneth; brothers, George Culps, and wife, Dee; aunt, Marjorie Armstrong; cousins, Melody, Tim, Glenda, Tammy, Pat, and Jim; nieces and nephews, Tommy, Shelanie, and J.D.; several great-nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, Rita Dean and “Mom” Rita Martin.
