William was born June 20, 1945 in Princeton, Indiana to William L. and Edna Davis. He was a graduate of King High School in Tampa, Florida, where he played and excelled in basketball. He worked in supervision at Lockeed-Martin for over 28 years before his retirement in 2005.

 

The family would like to thank the team of doctors who cared for William during his illness, especially Dr. Joseph Ortenberg.

 

Survivors: Wife, Peggy Davis; children, Cody Alvarado and wife, LaWayna, Stephanie Fry and husband, Scott, and Chad Davis and wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Steven Sloan and wife, Natalie, Dylan Fry, Alex Fry, Cameron Davis, Cy Alvarado, and Reese Davis; great-grandchildren, Ryker and Roman Sloan; brothers, Johnny Davis, Buddy Davis, and Mark Davis; brother-in-law, John; aunt, Edna Davis; nieces, Elizabeth and Jessica; and great-niece, Iris.
